Important Information if you are thinking about
bringing your rabbit to Midwest BunFest
About RHDV2
RHDV2, a virus very deadly to rabbits, has been identified in some areas of the US. You may remember that an isolated case in northern Ohio caused us to cancel Midwest BunFest (MWBF) in 2018. Fortunately, at this time, all virus cases are far away from Ohio. So, in consultation with our trusted exotics veterinarians, we are allowing bunnies to come to MWBF.
BUT, we want all bunny parents to know about RHDV2 and make an informed decision about bringing your rabbit. As usual, we will require you to sign a MWBF Rabbit Attendance Agreement. By signing the agreement, you confirm a number of things:

We also suggest that you do not allow people unknown to you to pet your rabbit. We will be posting signs asking people to refrain from interacting physically with the rabbits. They can enjoy looking at them and talking with them!
Please consider all of the info above and if you have any hesitation, leave your rabbit at home.

- That your rabbit is in good health
- That you (and your bunny) have not been within 125 miles of a RHDV2 outbreak area within 90 days.
- That you know the source of all bedding, hay and food you bring to the event or host hotel, and that source is not in an RHDV2 outbreak area, or the source company (such as Oxbow and other larger companies) follows stringent RHD control practices.
- Other items as stated in the agreement
