What is the Midwest BunFest?
![]() Ogden Brown, Maine
Here ye! Here ye! Come one, come all to our Annual Midwest BunFest.
This is a festival and exposition where participants gather for a common interest — bunnies. The masses will include people looking to pamper their bunnies, those looking to acquire a fuzzy-love of their own and need information, those who have bunny and bunny related products to offer, and of course, the bunnies themselves. That’s right, bunnies are welcome!!! For more information on bringing your bunny to Midwest BunFest click here. Information and advice on house rabbit support will be offered. On the bunny provider side, we will have bunny rescues, vendors, animal educators, veterinarians, and sponsors. On the seeker side, we have bunny parents, the bunnies themselves, and bunny lovers. Events at Midwest BunFest include: educational presentations (yak yak), the Bunny Spa (mani/pedi and hare), Glamour Shots (say cheese!), a rabbit supply store (yum yum), a Kids’ Craft area (adults too), and a silent auction (shh!) The Ohio House Rabbit Rescue welcomes all small animal pet Owners to join us at Midwest BunFest. However, pet rabbits are the only animals permitted to attend the event this year. This policy is in place to promote the safety and well-being of rabbits - prey animals that are sensitive to stressful situations. We know that rabbits and other small animals share a good deal in common in terms of their nutritional requirements, housing, and care: we encourage all small pet owners who are interested, to attend and participate in this year's Midwest BunFest; there will be plenty of relevant information, educational sessions, products, and fun for everyone! In the future, Ohio House Rabbit Rescue may consider a change to this policy to include other small animals. Ohio House Rabbit Rescue is the official sponsor for the Midwest BunFest. They have partnered with rabbit rescues across Ohio and the surrounding states to build a network of individuals, organizations, and corporate partners to improve bunny welfare in our community. This event is the first of its kind in the Midwest and will be held in Columbus, Ohio. Let the first annual Midwest BunFest begin!
